Hsu Goes Off, But Pelicans Win
|
Brisbane designated hitter Qing-nian Hsu had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-3, to St. Petersburg at Billy Mathews Field. Hsu went 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. St. Petersburg reliever Alfonso Robles picked up the win to move to 3-1. Frank Patton suffered the loss. St. Petersburg is now 17-26, Brisbane 20-21.
With one out in the bottom of the sixth, Luis Castanon stroked a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 16th hit of the season and put St. Petersburg in front, 3-2.
"It was a good effort all around," said Castanon.
