Tarin 3-4 to Power Saints Offense

St. Paul and Kingwood met at Stable Park in front of a lively crowd.
St. Paul right fielder Vinny Tarin had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Kingwood Knights, 14-4. Danny Garcia, the winner, improved to 3-2. He held Kingwood to 1 earned run on 2 hits over 5.1 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts.
Denny Malone aided the St. Paul cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the first. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.
"We came out aggressive," said Saints manager Alonso Rosas. "We came out swinging the bats."
The Saints bumped their record to 21-19 with this latest triumph.
