Road Warriors Field was the site of a competitive game between the Bethesda Hornets and Westside Road Warriors.

The Westside Road Warriors did just enough to sneak past the Bethesda Hornets, 4-3, at Road Warriors Field. Westside pitcher Ruud ten Napel earned player of the game honors. Westside reliever Kasey Vanderberg was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Ronnie Mijnheer took the loss. Roger Day nailed down his 10th save.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Corey Florey was at the plate when Westside scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Road Warriors to go in front, 4-3.

"Ruud's tempo and rhythm were good," said Road Warriors manager Wilfred Brooks. "He was the key to us winning."

The Road Warriors bumped their record to 24-15 with this latest triumph.
