Warriors Bang Out 7-2 Win Versus San Angelo
|
The Winfield Warriors defeated the San Angelo Mustangs, 7-2, in Lyman Bostock League action at The Barn, with Winfield pitcher Jesús Gallegos named player of the game. Gallegos got the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 9 hits and walked 2 over 9 innings. Gallegos allowed 2 earned runs. The Warriors improve their record to 18-20 with the win over San Angelo.
With one out in the top of the seventh, Lazarus Obombo had a chance to do some damage. San Angelo was trailing 7-1, but had the bases loaded. Obombo came to the plate against Jesús Gallegos, and hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough to complete a San Angelo comeback.
