Kingwood first baseman Eric Head made his presence felt in the 7-2 Knights triumph over the Okanagan Lake Monsters. Head was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The Knights bumped their record to 20-17 with this latest triumph.

The Knights got a big at-bat from second baseman José Martínez. For the game, Martínez was 1 for 3 with a walk. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 23rd hit of the season gave Kingwood a 3-2 lead.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Head told the Kingwood Daily. "It's as simple as that."
