Okanagan beat Kingwood in a rain-soaked ballgame.
Okanagan Lake Monsters starter Tenkou Miura was in fine form against the Kingwood Knights at Stable Park, leading his team to a 5-1 win. The winning pitcher was Miura, now 3-3. He tossed 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 7. Earning his 2nd save for Okanagan was Takeji Wada.
Leo Ceballos aided the Okanagan cause with a solo home run in the top of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 1 with a home run and 3 walks.
"Tenkou did a tremendous job," said Okanagan manager Bhim Varuni.
