Dancin' Outlaws Solve Frosties, 5-2
|
The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws topped the Barrow Frosties, 5-2, in Donnie Moore League action at Penlee Park. The player of the game was West Virginia third baseman José Hinojosa. Aaron Valenti was credited with the save for West Virginia, his 3rd of the season. At 13-22, the Dancin' Outlaws are currently last in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division.
Sandy Alvarado, who is tied for 8th in the DML in triples with 2, aided the West Virginia cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the shortstop was 1-5 with a double.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Alvarado, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
