Mustangs Need Extras to Top Bloodhounds
The San Angelo Mustangs topped the Boise Bloodhounds, 5-3, in Lyman Bostock League action at Grand Canyon Valley Park. The player of the game was San Angelo pitcher Garth Bankston. Bankston got the win, improving to 3-4. He allowed 5 hits and walked 5 over 10 innings. Bankston allowed 3 earned runs. The Mustangs have an impressive 25-12 record.

Rob Kirkland's hit in the top of the tenth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a cutter from Justin Bolling for a 2-run single. It put San Angelo in front, 5-3.
