River Chiefs Need Extras to Top Saints

The River Chiefs had to overcome a fine effort from St. Paul pitcher Danny Garcia to grab a narrow 3-2 win at Saints Ballpark. Garcia went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The River Chiefs have an impressive 23-12 record.
Juan Quevedo made it 3-2, Chippewa, in the top of the 11th when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was a big at-bat in the River Chiefs win.
"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Eric Rice, the Chippewa skipper.
