Cyclones Win Another One
The Cyclones had to overcome a fine performance from Kingwood pitcher Rubén Villalobos to grab a 3-1 win at Coney Island Coliseum. Villalobos allowed 1 earned run over 5.2 innings. Coney Island reliever Pedro Herrera got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Dylan Thompkins was tagged with the loss. Steve Nigro locked down his 2nd save.

Luis León aided the Coney Island cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," León said.
