Late Rally by Mustangs Secures Win
|
The 2034 season is getting ugly for Boise.
The Mustangs had to overcome a fine performance from Boise pitcher Dean Archer to grab a 8-5 win at Grand Canyon Valley Park. Archer allowed 1 earned run over 7 innings. The winner was Sam Young, who threw 125 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs on 5 hits.
Manuel Infante, who is tied for 3rd in the LBL in home runs with 6, aided the San Angelo cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the second baseman was 2-4 with a double.
In postgame comments to the San Angelo Bulletin, Infante said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The Mustangs have an impressive 24-12 record.
