The Eugene Emeralds grabbed a 6-2 win over the Houston Sting at Prefontaine Park. Eugene left fielder Tal-hun Kug was 2 for 3 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once to earn player of the game honors. Eugene reliever Jung-sang Lee picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Richard Sinclair took the loss. Eugene is 14-20 and Houston, with the loss, 15-20.

Miguel Guerra aided the Eugene cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher drew 2 walks in 4 trips to the plate.
