Aces Need Extra Frames to Get Past Fuego
The rain at The Fire House did not keep Las Vegas and Santa Fe from finishing their game.

Despite a great performance by Santa Fe first baseman Lance Adams, the Las Vegas Aces defeated the Fuego by the score of 7-6 at The Fire House. Adams was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Las Vegas reliever Juan Carlos Baraja got the win, raising his record to 1-3. Austin Price was tagged with the loss. Andy Mendoza recorded his 2nd save for Las Vegas.

The result might have been different for Las Vegas, had it not been for Greg Holder. The left fielder produced a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th inning to put the Aces ahead, 7-6. For the game, Holder had 2 doubles and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Santa Fe manager Troy Olsen. "The effort was great."

Even with the win, the Aces have a dismal 18-34 record.
