Left-hander Eddy Johnston mesmerized the Barrow Frosties while leading the St. Petersburg Pelicans to a 5-0 victory. Adrian Bogle earned save number 1. The Frosties fall to 11-19 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.

The Pelicans got a big at-bat from third baseman Jerry Mays. For the game, Mays was 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave St. Petersburg a 2-0 lead.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said St. Petersburg manager Kurt Brumfield.
