Lake Monsters Bang Out 6-0 Win Versus Brisbane
|
Okanagan right-hander Shi-xian Ouyang pitched his team to a shutout win, 6-0, over the Brisbane Bush Wackers. Ouyang went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 2-2. The save was Takeji Wada's, his 1st.
Kunihiko Kinoshita put Okanagan in front, 3-0, when he took Yeong-sam Yi downtown. His 2-run home run came with two out in the bottom of the fifth. It was his 2nd home run of the season.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Kinoshita.
The win brings the Lake Monsters to 16-12, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
