Road Warriors Win in Extras
The Westside Road Warriors defeated the Nichols Gnats, 4-3, at The Pond. Westside first baseman Ben Templeman was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The winner was Westside reliever Roger Day, now 2-0. The loser was Ben Bower. Jesse Corson earned save number 1.

Ricardo Garza, who is tied for 4th in the DML in RBI with 23, aided the Westside cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman went 1-2 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

Nichols manager Bruce Joyner said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.

The Gnats fall to 9-19 and continue their lackluster start to the 2034 season.
