The skies opened up and the rain fell at Stable Park.

The Houston Sting used an offensive barrage to beat the Kingwood Knights, 10-2, at Stable Park. Cliff Berk led the way, going 2-for-4 for Houston. The win brings the Sting to 12-19, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.

Todd Gladue's at-bat in the top of the third inning was a big one for Houston. Coming to bat with no one out, runners on 1st and 2nd and Houston trailing 1-0, the second baseman reached on an error by the center fielder, driving in 1 run.

"It was full throttle on our side," said Berk.
