River Chiefs Run Win Streak to 7

Chippewa and Tree City duked it out at The Reservation and the River Chiefs came out victorious.
The Chippewa River Chiefs defeated the Tree City Black Squirrels, 8-6, at The Reservation. Chippewa shortstop Adrián Ferreira was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The save went to Troy Lamb, his 2nd this season.
Miguel Rangel, who is tied for 10th in the LBL in extra base hits with 10, aided the Chippewa cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles.
In postgame comments to the Chippewa Citizen, Ferreira said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The River Chiefs, now 21-9, have been on fire in the early going.
