Conditions were not ideal but Kingwood and Houston were able to put their game in the books.

Kingwood starter Rubén Villalobos put a stranglehold on the Houston offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Knights to a 7-1 win. The Sting fall to 11-19 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2034 season.

Ben McGaughey hit a 2-run double off Tim Marchman in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Knights in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, McGaughey had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Villalobos.
