Knights Raise Rally Flag, Beat Houston, 5-3
|
It was a good time at Stable Park, where fans came to watch the Houston Sting and Kingwood Knights get after it.
The Houston Sting got a superb performance from left fielder Jason Scroggins, but the Kingwood Knights still won the game, 5-3. Scroggins was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Sting drop to 11-18 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2034 season.
Sabino Acosta was the walk-off hero for Kingwood. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Knights catcher hit a dramatic 2-run home run to send the teams home.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Acosta said.
