Dan Garcia of the San Angelo Mustangs put on a pitching clinic today at Baylor Ballpark as he struck out 15 Brisbane Bush Wackers in a 7-1 victory. Garcia, who leads the LBL with a 4 quality starts, was simply magnificent as he held the Bush Wackers to 2 hits. He walked 3.
"I felt okay at the beginning," Garcia said, "but eventually my change up really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."
When asked about Garcia's performance, Mustangs manager Clyde Bowman shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
So far this year Garcia has been credited with no saves, registered a 1.95 ERA and struck out 63 in 37 innings. He also has a 3-0 record.
