Frosties Shut Out Emeralds
A nice crowd turned out to see the Barrow Frosties and Eugene Emeralds clash at Prefontaine Park.

Barrow pitcher Bartolo Urbina did his part in helping his team beat the Eugene Emeralds, 5-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Urbina, now 2-1, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no earned runs.

The Frosties got a big at-bat from catcher Pedro Paredes. For the game, Paredes went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Barrow a 2-0 lead.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Barrow manager Evan Warner.

The Emeralds drop to 9-13 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2034 season.
