Black Squirrels Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Atlantic City
|
Tree City and Atlantic City duked it out at The Royal Colosseum and the Black Squirrels came out victorious.
Ramon Abreu left his imprint on the 6-3 Tree City win against the Atlantic City Kings. Abreu, who is tied for 6th in the DML in home runs with 4, was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Joel Applegate was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 5 strikeouts.
Travis Hickey, who is tied for 3rd in the DML in doubles with 6, aided the Tree City cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the third. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Abreu said after the game.
The Black Squirrels keep rolling, raising their record to 13-7.
