The Bethesda Hornets beat the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 3-1, at Hornets Field. Bethesda first baseman Foster Miller earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The loss drops Brisbane to 11-9.
Miller had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Yeong-sam Yi, he banged a run-scoring double to center, giving the Hornets a 2-1 lead. It was the 6th double of the year for Miller.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Miller said after the game.
