Pelicans Get One-Run Win at Bel Air
The St. Petersburg Pelicans did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Bel Air Princes at Philip Banks Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Phil Lovelace, who captured player of the game honors. St. Petersburg, now 8-12, is off to a slow start.

Dave Proctor aided the St. Petersburg cause with a 2-run triple in the top of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 triples. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Bel Air manager Leland Austin said following the tough loss.
