Frosties Bang Out 9-5 Win Versus Tree City
|
Benefiting from Brian Douglas's productive game, the Barrow Frosties downed the Tree City Black Squirrels, 9-5. Douglas went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Frosties. Bob Tamez, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 1-1. The Frosties raised their record to 8-9.
Douglas had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the fifth, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Frosties went on to win.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Douglas.
