Merez Helps Jedi Knights Beat Saints
With designated hitter Abraham Merez leading the charge, the New Orleans Jedi Knights defeated the St. Paul Saints, 15-5, at The Republic. Merez went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. Merez contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for New Orleans in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-1, Merez took a fastball from Konrad Dortmans and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Jedi Knights to leap in front, 4-2.
