Cyclones Best Mustangs in Pitching Duel
|
Coney Island Cyclones starter Bobby Criss was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the San Angelo Mustangs, 2-0. Takamasa Oki was called on to finish, recording his 6th save. Losses have been rare for the Mustangs, who are now 13-4.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from second baseman Lou Waterfield. For the game, Waterfield was 2-3 with a triple and a double. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Coney Island a 1-0 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Waterfield said after the game.
