Eugene Emeralds starter Tommy Brereton was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 3-1. The Bush Wackers, now 10-6, continue their sluggish start.

The Bush Wackers had little chance against Brereton, who overpowered Brisbane hitters and struck out 14.
