Emeralds Take Nail-Biter Over Hornets
The Eugene Emeralds topped the Bethesda Hornets, 6-4, in Donnie Moore League action at Prefontaine Park. The player of the game was Eugene pitcher Franklin Cadonau. The Hornets fall to 7-9 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2034 season.

Eugene won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Ricky Alvarado on the mound for Bethesda, pinch hitter Ángel Sánchez hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Emeralds fans to their feet.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Eugene manager Ricardo Martínez.
