Princes Score Late to Upend Sting, 4-2
|
The Bel Air Princes dealt the Houston Sting a 4-2 loss at Woodland Park. Tama Loa was the star on offense. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Lee Krause earned the win for Bel Air. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 10 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 3-0. Shayne Cluff closed the game out for Bel Air, earning his 8th save.
Loa had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch circle change from Aaron Carter, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Princes a 4-2 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Loa.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Loa said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
At 9-5, the Princes have played well so far.
