It was a good time at The Nut House, where fans came to watch the Westside Road Warriors and Tree City Black Squirrels get after it.

The Tree City Black Squirrels trumped the Westside Road Warriors, 11-6, at The Nut House. Tree City second baseman Travis Hickey was named player of the game for his performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Tree City reliever Tsuginori Oda picked up the win to move to 2-0. Eddie Cory suffered the loss.

With one out in the bottom of the fifth, Ramon Abreu stroked a go-ahead 2-run single. It was his 15th hit of the season and put Tree City in front, 5-3.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Tree City skipper Ramón Guerrero.

At 9-5, the Black Squirrels have played well so far.
