Kingwood left fielder Jen-ta Zhong was instrumental in his team's 9-3 win over the St. Paul Saints. Zhong, who is tied for 8th in the LBL in home runs with 2, went 2-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Knights. Jason Hammond, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 2-1. The Saints fall to 5-7 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.

With Kingwood leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Zhong hit a curveball from Ron Brown for a 2-run single. It was his 16th hit of the season and put the Knights ahead, 4-0.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Kingwood skipper Herb Good.
