Jedi Knights Win at Boise, 10-6
|
New Orleans left fielder Sergio Arredondo was instrumental in his team's 10-6 win over the Boise Bloodhounds. Arredondo, who leads the LBL in hits with 24, went 4-5 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Jedi Knights. The winner was New Orleans reliever George McCurry, now 4-0. The loser was Dave Grassa. The Bloodhounds, now 3-8, continue their poor start.
Shigeaki Yoshida, who is tied for 10th in the LBL in runs scored with 10, aided the New Orleans cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the second. For the game, the center fielder was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Arredondo told the New Orleans Daily News.
