Cyclones Lose, 5-4, at Elks Stadium
|
Coney Island got a terrific game from third baseman Benito Arce. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Okanagan, 5-4. Arce was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Tony Salas got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 4 runs on 7 hits in 7 innings. The Cyclones drop to 6-7 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2034 season.
Cesar Ortiz helped out the Okanagan cause in the bottom of the second inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the right fielder went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Ortiz.
