Wen Wei put on a hitting clinic today as the Dallas Texans dumped the Eureka Hornets 7-6 at Metroplex Park.

The Dallas first baseman made Eureka defenders earn their pay, lashing Eureka pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Wei said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Wen Wei doubled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
