West Virginia catcher Jaime Valéncia was sensational. He went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Brisbane beat the Dancin' Outlaws, 8-6. Valéncia was named the player of the game despite the loss. Aaron Lyons picked up the save, his 4th. The Dancin' Outlaws fall to 3-7 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.

Had Conrad Zijlstra not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Zijlstra hit a 2-run single. That made the score 8-6, in favor of the Bush Wackers.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Bush Wackers manager Pete Barrett. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
