Warriors Stymie Boise, Take 3-0 Win
|
The Warriors grabbed a win, 3-0, at The Barn, overcoming a fine effort from Boise pitcher Wil Cortez. Cortez went 8 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Dave Milar locked down his 4th save. The Bloodhounds fall to 3-7 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.
The Warriors got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jose Yepez. For the game, Yepez was 1-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Winfield a 1-0 lead.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Todd Barrett.
