The Taos Blizzard got a magnificent performance from pitcher Tommy Pucher, who muffled the Barrow offense en route to a tight 3-1 Blizzard win at The Blizzard Bowl. Pucher got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 5 innings. Pucher allowed 1 earned run. Dan Van Sickle earned the save, his 1st, for the Blizzard.

Don Brantley aided the Taos cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1 with a double.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Brantley.

Taos, now 6-3, has played well in the early going.
