Arms drives in 4 runs, River Chiefs Move to 6-2
|
Chippewa first baseman Brian Arms was instrumental in his team's 11-8 win over the Charleston Panthers. Arms went 1-1 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the River Chiefs. Reliever Pang Yip picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Ronnie Kimble took the loss. Chippewa, now 6-2, has played well in the early going.
Arms had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Ronnie Kimble, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the River Chiefs a 11-8 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Arms.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Arms. "And not try to do too much."
