Lake Monsters Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
The inspired effort of Kingwood right fielder Jen-ta Zhong was not enough to prevent a 11-5 loss to the Okanagan Lake Monsters. Zhong was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Victor Castillo closed the game out for Okanagan, earning his 2nd save. The Lake Monsters have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 2nd win in 7 games.
Adam Kemp aided the Okanagan cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh. For the game, the first baseman went 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Kemp told the Okanagan Daily News.
