Black Squirrels Win Thriller, 5-2
|
The Tree City Black Squirrels got a stellar effort from pitcher Charlie Wife, helping Tree City score a 5-2 win over the visiting Bethesda Hornets. Tree City, now 2-3, is off to a slow start.
Tree City won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Ricky Alvarado on the mound for Bethesda, catcher Ramon Abreu hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Black Squirrels fans to their feet.
"Losing is easy," said Wife. "Winning is hard."
