Frosties Rally For Late Win Over Pelicans

Barrow and St. Petersburg duked it out at Billy Mathews Field and the Frosties came out victorious.
The Barrow Frosties faced a tough opponent in St. Petersburg pitcher Juan Duran, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Billy Mathews Field by a final score of 7-4. Duran went 6.2 innings and allowed no earned runs. Barrow, now 1-2, is off to a slow start.
It could have been a different outcome for Barrow, had it not been for Gerardo Herrera, the 21-year old center fielder . Herrera contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Barrow up, 3-2.
Herrera told the Barrow Daily News: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
