The Eureka Hornets had to overcome a big game from Dallas first baseman Dave Stoner to leave Metroplex Park with a 6-4 victory. Stoner went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and was hit by a pitch. Danny Zomosa earned the win to go to 3-4. He allowed 3 earned runs on 5 hits, with 8 walks and 1 strikeout. Alim bin Umar got credit for the save for Eureka. It was his 15th of the year.
Won-sub Pak hit a run-scoring double off Naizen Uchiyama in the top of the sixth, which put the Hornets in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Pak had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
Pak told a Eureka Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
The Hornets bumped their record to 28-23 with this latest triumph.
