The Taos Blizzard satisfied the home crowd at The Igloo, treating them to a season-opening win, 3-2, over the St. Petersburg Pelicans. Reliever Hitoshi Miyahira was named player of the game for Taos. The save went to Paul Davis, his 1st this season.

The Blizzard got a big at-bat from third baseman Rick Bradley. For the game, Bradley was 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 3rd hit of the season gave Taos a 3-2 lead.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Miyahira said after the game.
