Osos designated hitter Tomiji Kohara put his stamp on his team's 5-4 win over the Phoenix Lights. Kohara was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Ruidoso in the contest. Harold Wilford got the win, improving to 11-9. He worked 7 innings, giving up 4 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. The Osos bumped their record to 84-78 with this latest triumph.

Phil Mouland drove in one run for Ruidoso. The 27-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Mike Huerta. It was his 26th RBI of the season.

"We found a way to get it done," Mouland said.
