Tune-Ups Prevail, 5-3, Over Riverside
|
Youngstown third baseman Doyle Coles made his presence felt in the 5-3 Tune-Ups triumph over the Riverside Red Bulls. Coles was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. The Tune-Ups saw their win-loss record go to 72-90. At the same time, the Red Bulls fell to 81-81.
With Youngstown leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth, Coles hit a fastball from Kazuyoshi Murata for a solo home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Tune-Ups ahead, 5-3.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Coles told a Youngstown News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
