The Biloxi Bullets got a superb performance from pitcher Frank Justiniano. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Buzzard's Bay. The Beetlecats won the game, 4-1. In spite of the loss, Justiniano was named the player of the game. He threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. Buzzard's Bay now has a 3-game win streak.

Sandy Alvarado was a key contributor to the win for the Beetlecats. In the bottom of the sixth with two out, the light-hitting shortstop stroked a double to left-center. He was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

In postgame comments to the Buzzard's Bay Bulletin, Alvarado said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
