Monarchs Rally For Late Win Over Shamrocks
|
The Marysville Monarchs topped the Pacifica Shamrocks, 3-2, in Cory Lidle League action at Mitts Fieldhouse. The player of the game was Marysville pitcher Ryokan Endo. Marysville reliever Curt Woods was the winner. His record is now 5-3. The losing pitcher was Jorge Rivera. The Monarchs saw their record improve to 72-90.
Tim Hinson was the walk-off hero for Marysville. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Monarchs right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We found a way to get it done," Hinson said.
