Bullets Bang Out 8-3 Win Versus Phoenix
|
Biloxi first baseman Jesus Plana made his presence felt in the 8-3 Bullets triumph over the Phoenix Lights. Plana was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Biloxi now sits in last place in the Cory Lidle League Gene Mauch Division at 63-96.
Plana contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Biloxi in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-0, Plana took a fastball from Bartolo Urbina and stroked the home run to left. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Bullets to leap in front, 4-2.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Plana.
